Years ago, the way that search engines would find websites is the website managers would submit their base urls to the search engines and they would crawl it and index it. Sometimes search engines would even have spaces where the website owners would put in keyword phrases so that the search engines would know how to categorize their website. Many webmasters would manipulate this system by writing scripts to submit pages to the search engines automatically with endless lists of keyword phrases. This ruined this process for everyone, so the search engine algorithms have changed; now Search Engine Submission services are almost useless. Submitting a sitemap .xml file is somewhat valid, but other than that, a search engine does not promise any results from Search Engine Submission.
