What is website submission?
Website submission is where you submit your website to search engines directly using a form. This used to be the primary way that search engines would find your website. When we say, "used to" we mean about 10 years ago. Many website submission services are still out there to get websites to the public. There is a specific way that website submission can be useful. When you use website submission on a search engine, you can submit a sitemap. A sitemap is a *.xml file that contains the urls to all of your pages in an xml format. Using this method a search engine can find the pages to your website, but no popular search engine relies on website submission anymore, in fact, when you use website submission they say it could take up to 3 months or not at all to put your website in their index. This is not the guarantee that you want.
